OVER
35,000
ARTIFACTS
SINCE OUR BEGINNINGS in the early 1970's, The Melfort & District Museum has accumulated over 35,000 artifacts
The majority of these relate to pioneer life in the Melfort and district area of Saskatchewan, and from them we display about 15,000 at any one time, mostly in our Pioneer Village. A significant portion (several thousands) of our holdings are photographs and documents which are on file and available year round to interested researchers. These archives are steadily growing. Our display space in our main gallery is limited, and houses a small number of our collection in temporary displays which are rotated.
